We bring together over a decade of rigorous AI research and real-world engineering to cut through the noise — and build tools that actually matter.
Our Mission
Most AI content falls into two camps: surface-level hype from people who've never trained a model, or dense academic work that never reaches the people who need it most. We exist to bridge that gap.
Our team was educated at the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University — home to programs that have ranked in the top 3 in the US for Machine Learning, AI, and Computer Science for more than three decades. But degrees alone don't build useful things — so we've spent 12+ years implementing AI systems at scale inside top industrial institutions, where the real challenges live.
We believe the best way to serve you is to stay honest: move fast enough to keep up with the field, but always pause to ask what a new technology actually means for the people who will live with it. AI and agents should strengthen human agency, not take it away. People should remain in control — setting the goals, boundaries, and final decisions — while technology helps us build a more capable and humane society.
Our experience spans both academic research and AI systems deployed at industry scale, but expertise matters most when it is shared. Education is therefore central to our work: we explain what we learn, show how we build, and help more people participate in shaping the technology. Humanfocial, our planned early-learning initiative, is the next expression of that commitment.

What We're Building
Artifocial is an ecosystem of AI-powered tools built by people who understand the technology deeply enough to know when not to use it. We built Alarmly, a smarter way to begin the day, and Foundry, the agent-company platform growing from the system we use to run our own work. More products are coming.
Every product we ship goes through the same filter: Is this genuinely useful? Does it respect the user's privacy? Does it hold up when the hype fades? If it doesn't pass that test, it doesn't ship.
More apps are coming, and our AI agent organization builds and ships them end-to-end. We're building an ecosystem where AI quietly handles the friction in your day — not an assistant that demands your attention, but one that earns it.
